NAME: Kisuke Urahara
CANON: Bleach
PERSONALITY: Friendly and a little bit offputting, yet somehow weirdly charming, and a giant troll at face value. Also a calculated, manipulative chessmaster who thinks he knows what's best for everyone and likes to have control over all situations so he can push them towards the best possible scenario. Also harboring massive guilt complexes that no one gets to see. Consummate liar and deflector.

Insanely talented scientist, insanely talented swordsman, insanely talented pseudo-magic user. He's unreal.

DESIRED CR: People to mentor. People who can maybe get him to trust and open up some, which is so hard. It's just... so hard. Science nerds. All the things.

OFFERED CR: Science nerd interested in taking on projects and making useful inventions to accomodate your daily life. Personal trainer who will make you regret ever wanting to get stronger. Trickster mentor for all your Trickster mentoring needs. Obnoxious older brother/father figure if you're really interested in that.

RECAP: When Urahara first arrived, he did his best to pretend to be nothing more than an average candy store owner, avoiding fights like the plague and trying to keep as much of his power a secret as he could. When Perdition's Rest rolled around, he began to open up a little more, driven to the point by the realization that he'd intensely pursued one lead, while ignoring all other signs. This led to him pushing himself to the brink during the final battle of Perdition's Rest, culiminating in a confrontation with a Zymandis agent who got the upper hand on him.

Since then, he's been a bit more open about his abilities, though only a few people know he's a shinigami. Since returning to Oska, he's thrown himself into various projects to distract himself, including using Taraxa blood samples to make a device capable of analyzing bio-patterns in the locals of whatever the world they visit to make sure they aren't surprised by another infiltration.

PLANS: Urahara has several projects he's working on, including the previously mentioned Taraxa Project, something capable of storing reitasu to be drawn upon whenever needed (for Elias), and an assortment of others. His major goal at some point is to set up an Audentes Research Division.

Ideally, maybe he can grow as a character and not be a giant dick, while still maintaing his pragmatism, but we'll see about that one.

You know damn well Urahara's gonna use his skills in making vaccines and antidotes to try and solve the problem and figure out where the virus came from. He will devote all his time to that. Holy shit. Come nerd with him, guys.

MISSION SPECIFIC.
BACKSTORY: Urahara will probably make up the first thing that comes to his head when people ask what he's doing, which will probably be an elaborate story involving witness protection and having to move away from his shop to keep people from asking too many questions. He just wants to live his life.

even though Achilles' skill set is comparatively limited (sob) he does have a medical background (i.e. living in a cave on a mountainside for ~2 years and learning from a mythical horseman) and would likely become interested in helping to develop a cure. IDK HOW USEFUL HE WOULD BE but they can at least talk about it maybe???

THEY CAN. Honestly he's likely to think someone with a more "archaic" background might provide a unique perspective since he likes approaching things from all angles and since he's technically been around since the 1800's AT LEAST in human terms, he knows a few things about that himself so yes. Can Urahara be Nyuu's guardian?

All I had in store for Lucy/Nyuu was that she was an orphan who came oversees in hopes of making a career out of her singing talents, but she might have a side-job as a dog-walker, too.
