CR Meme #2

Welcome to the second CR Meme of Futurology S2! Have fun and be good to each other.
MISSION: DRAKSTADEN PLOTTING
After Mission: Azeria (the test drive meme), characters will have spent a week on Headquarters before receiving the dossier for Mission: Drakstaden. They will have another week to prepare, after which they will be rifted to another universe.
Mission breakdown:
- The first log will go up on 15 April.
- The mission is tentatively scheduled to last until mid-June, but this may change depending on character action.
- The Bounty Board will be updated once the mission begins.
- There will be a locations page up by 15 April.
- View the dossier for all ICly-known information about what to expect.
- Characters are encouraged to blend in, and will be outfitted with appropriate clothing before their arrival. For characters who cannot pass as human, they will be provided with cloaking devices that will allow all non-Hathaway personnel to view them as natives.
- You can ask questions about the mission on the dossier, or ask game-related questions on the FAQ.

Scott Summers | Marvel Comics
▸ NAME: Glass
▸ CONTACT:
▸ TAGGING HABITS: EST! I tag back sporadically throughout the day, try to get everything once a day but I've slowed down a little for thesis writing.
▸ INTERESTS: biology (do you like fish? I am up to my eyeballs in fish rn), comics (Marvel), video games (Overwatch, Borderlands), cats, adorable animals, weird science things...Dunkin Donuts?
CHARACTER INFORMATION
▸ NAME: Scott Summers
▸ CANON: Marvel Comics
▸ SPECIALIZATION: Negotiator
▸ FILE: bam
▸ PERSONALITY: Heroic, idealistic, well-meaning nerd who can't openly emote worth a damn (but he's trying!) and thus spends all his time outside of combat being socially awkward. Gooey emotional center deep at the bottom of the Mariana Trench of Emotional Repression. Stiff and can come off as self-righteous and bossy but he's collected under pressure and good at gitting shit done. Also, he's bb!Scott from the past, dragged to the future, because X-Men comics, and he's got a lot of unresolved baggage re: his future self and what happened to his life.
▸ DESIRED CR:
- more friends who are significantly more outgoing, social and optmistic than he is (it's a low bar)
- mentor figures- preferably healthy
- antagonistic— somehow he's managed not to butt heads with anyone yet over strategy and self-righteousness-off or whatnot
- people with powers
- people with powers + a healthy relationship with their powers
- anybody who needs a slightly overprotective big-brother kind of friend or a stable/chill presence under pressure
▸ OFFERED CR:
- do you need somebody with a stick up their butt to counter your hothead? I got you, fam
- somebody who's cool under fire and good at coaching people through life/death situations or learning the ropes of their powers
- total nerd friend? (see Anything Else?)
- somebody blunt and not afraid to get harsh and critical
- sweet, incredibly destructive superpowers
- somebody good at plans and tactics and making sure they get executed
- can I interest you in batshit comic book world-building? this is the X-Men
- time-travel angst
- "chains of commanding" angst
- existential drama about the capacity of people to change and the weight of destiny etc
▸ PLANS: Not to knock all his friends who think that punching everything into submission is the height of problem solving (IT ISN'T!), but— Scott's plan is to target the flow of information/propaganda/surveillance, under the logic that whoever's running that must have all the dirty details that could be used to topple a corrupt government. Second part of this plan is to identify any non-corrupt officials remaining within the system and how they can get the right amount of information out into the world and get the right people to start moving levers on their own. No you cannot just execute everyone and what is the point of beating them up if you can't guarantee they won't just walk later.
Also at some point Scott and Rey are going to start a hockey team.

He has powers and he's a mentor figure! ... not exactly a healthy mentor, but, hey, Rey swears by him. Kinda.

lissa is still kind of a baby (thanks fire emblem) but she is at least very outgoing and friendly, so if scott ever needs someone to hassle him or just generally talk at him, she is here to chatter his ears off. also she's lucina's aunt despite being younger, that's not weird at all right
also i think scott's more realistic viewpoint on the world would probably be good for her since she tends to be a little too optimistic at points.

But look, Scott's met his own children, including his daughter, who is now like a decade older than him but still calls him "Dad". Lucina's aunt being younger than her is so not even going to register. And her following him around chattering at him would probably be soothing for Scott, I think he can handle it even if half the time he'll have to figure out what the hell to say. And a little optimism would be good for him! Scott's idealistic but he tends to be pessimistic about outcomes and secretly suspect that everything will go to shit
no subject
But excellent, I'm excited to hassle him (hopefully) soon, once I tame my disaster of an inbox. Would you be okay if I added you on plurk in the meantime?

Sometimes they shoot things too

Anyway no wanton killing. No killing at all if they can help it, in Scott's opinion. (Scott's opinion is also that they can probably help it)

Plus she might end up reminding him of his One True Wolverine, the ever-excellent Laura Kinney.

we can definitely do something for the next log! I doubt I'll be top-leveling, but I'll keep an eye out for you or we can do a closed starter whichever works for you :>
no subject
I usually top-level and I was planning on it for this log. If whatever I end up tossing up doesn't work just hit me up on plurk and I can churn out something else or we can suss out a closed starter.
