Welcome to the second CR Meme of Futurology S2! Have fun and be good to each other.

MISSION: DRAKSTADEN PLOTTING

After Mission: Azeria (the test drive meme), characters will have spent a week on Headquarters before receiving the dossier for Mission: Drakstaden. They will have another week to prepare, after which they will be rifted to another universe.

Mission breakdown:

The first log will go up on 15 April.
The mission is tentatively scheduled to last until mid-June, but this may change depending on character action.
The Bounty Board will be updated once the mission begins.
There will be a locations page up by 15 April.
View the dossier for all ICly-known information about what to expect.
Characters are encouraged to blend in, and will be outfitted with appropriate clothing before their arrival. For characters who cannot pass as human, they will be provided with cloaking devices that will allow all non-Hathaway personnel to view them as natives.

▸ OFFERED CR: One slightly-less-kill-it-with-fire Avatar, master of all four elements. She's new and still very much in wide-eyed wonder at everything, especially coming off of the fox-world mission (which I'm willing to make canon if fellow players are). Space? Multiverse? Aliens? She doesn't even have pop culture to fall back on to help make sense of all of this!
▸ PLANS: Much like Jason, I have no solid plans for Korra yet. Likely she will muck this up big time since the airplane was just invented three years ago in her world, let alone technology like what we're about to see. She's going to try, but sometimes Korra can try too hard.

I already ADORE Jason and Urahara's CR. I hope Urahara can help Jason a little with this mission since Jason will be REALLY LOST at first (wrong genre + not a techie = completely lost).

As for Korra and Urahara. That might be interesting given the spiritual aspects there? Not quite sure how they'll register to each other, but it might be something to look into? I'm definitely curious as to how they'll play out.

Urahara is not even remotely in the right genre, BUT BOY IS HE GOING TO PRETEND HE KNOWS WHAT'S GOING ON. Have fun, Jason

AND YEAH. Given how I play around with Jedi senses vs shinigami, I think Avatar senses would register that "hey this is a spirit," because... I say so, and it's cool!! We haven't had many people in game who can sense spirits, and normally he's supposed to be indistinguishable from a human when sensed, but.... I don't like that.

So yes, Korra can get all the spirit vibes off him and he'll be weirded out and also intrigued.

JASON ISN'T GOOD AT PRETENDING. Well, okay, he managed to fool a group of ghosts once but he had magic camo and mostly just needed to say little...and he still had his cover blown.

That should be fun to play out since the only human-shaped spirit Korra has really met is Iroh. And since she's super honest she probably will just flat out ask him so that should be fun XDb Thanks for the heads up with permission though, I appreciate it. On the flip side, I'm not quite sure how Korra and/or Raava (her Avatar spirit) would feel to Urahara though? The spirits in the spirit world seem to be able to distinguish sensing Raava to sensing Korra's spirit...but I imagine both have STRONG spiritual energy/aura.

I always play spiritual energies being a kind of "I can recognize this, but not quite" where Urahara's sensing is concerned. More like a scent on the air than an actual full-blown feeling, so he couldn't, say pick it out of a crowd like he could a shinigami reiatsu but he would know she gives off the same sort of sense that a highly spiritually sensitive human would. Possibly moreso since... Raava.

But with some CR building and your permission, he could probably get to a point where he notices more things about it. That's how Tifa and I have done his stuff with Rey thus far.

That makes sense. Korra's still learning her spiritual sense in some ways I think...I mean she's really only been connected to it for a couple of years vs several years of physical fighting. So she'll probably pick up on the fact that there is weird spiritual energy, but not necessarily be able to distinguish what it means/what's odd about it.

I definitely like the CR building and learning the nuances of each other. I have a feeling it will make for some very interesting exchanges.

If you want someone for the irritating category, I think Korra and Rohan would butt a lot of heads together because of their strong personality types.

She's working on NOT butting heads, but canon has shown us that it doesn't always work

But yes, Rohan is a bit of a snob so we can see how it goes! He has his own little spirit companion too.

Oh man she does NOT do well with snobs if her interactions with most royal-folk is anything to go on.

Spirit companions are always a plus though.

She's also dating Asami (cause I'm taking her from the follow-up comics) so I'm not sure if she'd actually be dropping that relationship any time soon.
