Welcome to the second CR Meme of Futurology S2! Have fun and be good to each other.



MISSION: DRAKSTADEN PLOTTING

After Mission: Azeria (the test drive meme), characters will have spent a week on Headquarters before receiving the dossier for Mission: Drakstaden. They will have another week to prepare, after which they will be rifted to another universe.

Mission breakdown:

• The first log will go up on 15 April.
  
• The mission is tentatively scheduled to last until mid-June, but this may change depending on character action.
  
• The Bounty Board will be updated once the mission begins.
  
• There will be a locations page up by 15 April.
  
• View the dossier for all ICly-known information about what to expect.
  
• Characters are encouraged to blend in, and will be outfitted with appropriate clothing before their arrival. For characters who cannot pass as human, they will be provided with cloaking devices that will allow all non-Hathaway personnel to view them as natives.
  
• You can ask questions about the mission on the dossier, or ask game-related questions on the FAQ.

▸ PERSONALITY: Dedicated to the path of the warrior as she knows it, duty, loyalty, ritual, honor, and sacrifice are the tenants by which she has lived her life. Quick to take offense, not one to waste words, a bit of a man hater, and possessed of perpetual bitchface, most of Hayame's manners and subservience are reserved only for her master(s). In this case, Hathaway as long as they promise her the incentive. Beneath this, however, is a deep seated sense of shame, failure, and loneliness that she tries to compensate for. She's also still rather uncomfortable with magic, advanced tech, world-hopping, and space.

▸ DESIRED CR: Lady friends. Fellow warriors. Japanese characters she doesn't have to explain her references to. People from similar enough worlds to relate to but different enough that she can slowly accustom herself to the unfamiliar... but, I'll take anyone who can put up with her, tbh. I know it's hard.
▸ OFFERED CR: Honor tsundere, easily needled warrior to offend and get negative CR with, abusive archery teacher, somewhat-naive-about-some-things lady to tease, sparring partner, badass to fight beside, centaur to see from behind and mistake for a horse???

▸ PLANS: After potentially ruining her man hating rep in Azeria with an accidental PDA, Hayame will be returning to her fringe-hugging ways if not stopped. She is not very suited to undercover work, but thanks to Hathaway she'll have an actual shape-changing tech instead of just cloaking for Drakstaden, since... can't have people bumping into invisible centaur rear. She'll need a lot of work getting her fighting ability as a centaur up to par in a human body so I imagine there will be some... adjustment issues. Also a few potential Last Unicorn-esque mental bumps the longer she remains in human shape. (It's small and suffocating WHERE ARE HER SECOND SET OF ORGANS.)

I'm hoping she can do something useful, but honestly she's not suited to politics and her idea of how to deal with corruption is public executions/forced suicides, so, if you need any of that done, she's your girl... meanwhile, she'd probably serve best as an escort or back-up bruiser to someone who actually knows what they're doing... Also keep her dumb ass away from the tech and someone she respects enough to listen to, please give her something concrete to do, I'm begging u.

1. Are you interested in saying their interaction in the TDM mission is "canon"
2. I'd love to continue developed Jason and Hayame CR (since they had some good starting stuff in Hanabira) but I think Korra and Hayame would also make for a good team since they are from more similar cultures (sort of). Plus she definitely fits the lady warriors category.

Either would be willing to help her. Actually Korra might be interesting since she had to re-train her body after being in a wheel chair for several months. It's not the SAME but it would at least give her an idea of maybe how to go about training someone to move and fight who knows how but doesn't know how to do it in their current body?

1) I'm super sorry about Feb and floundering hardcore to the point where I never got back to Sieglinde. I'm willing to try again if you're up for it!

2) I have been trying to figure out how to slide into some Hayame CR ever since The Great Hanabira Argument log. Scott's pretty patient and stubbornly willing to try and befriend people even if his social skills aren't top-notch and ngl he's been kind of...concerned about Hayame's whole...thing ever since all that blew up.

Haha yesssss, I welcome attempts at that! If I'm not mistaken Scott went with Veronica to the wedding, right? Hayame would def. have him categorized in her mind as One Of Veronica's Allies, so she will be resistant to begin with, but I definitely think it would be fun to see what happened if he tried? Maybe we can try something on this new log!

Scott sure did go on a date with Veronica to the wedding. But he has lots of friends and also this is a super unproductive way to think about your team Hayame so maybe slow your roll some? He can very patiently and very insistently pick this all apart for you. Also, he survived Wolverine, so. How bad can it be?
