Welcome to the second CR Meme of Futurology S2! Have fun and be good to each other.



MISSION: DRAKSTADEN PLOTTING

After Mission: Azeria (the test drive meme), characters will have spent a week on Headquarters before receiving the dossier for Mission: Drakstaden. They will have another week to prepare, after which they will be rifted to another universe.

Mission breakdown:

• The first log will go up on 15 April.
  
• The mission is tentatively scheduled to last until mid-June, but this may change depending on character action.
  
• The Bounty Board will be updated once the mission begins.
  
• There will be a locations page up by 15 April.
  
• View the dossier for all ICly-known information about what to expect.
  
• Characters are encouraged to blend in, and will be outfitted with appropriate clothing before their arrival. For characters who cannot pass as human, they will be provided with cloaking devices that will allow all non-Hathaway personnel to view them as natives.
  
• You can ask questions about the mission on the dossier, or ask game-related questions on the FAQ.

▸ TAGGING HABITS: I try to clear my inbox entirely on my days off (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and tag intermittently during days I work. Sundays are usually bad days for me because I work a long shift. If, at all possible, I will never let a thread sit longer than 2-3 days, depending on how busy I am. If you need me to boomerang something for plot/CR reasons, just tell me and I will!
▸ INTERESTS: I'm super into Critical Role right now, because after losing track of the show sometime in 2015 like the loser I am, I finally slammed into it, so that...has been occupying a lot of my plurk time. orz. I'm also super into MCU. I talk about my games a lot. I love meta analysis. Honestly, if you want the nitty gritty of what fandoms I'm into, see my muselist. There's a good chance I'll chatter about any and all of those things with you. I love chattering!

▸ PERSONALITY: At first glance, Urahara is a flippant, mischievous doofus with terrible fashion sense. At second glance, he's still all those things, but there's definitely something way more intense about him. He's basically ten pounds of bullshit in a five pound sack. He's smart, cunning, often manipulative, but generally thinks he has the best interests of everyone at heart. He's still kinda getting used to the fact that he doesn't need to carry the weight of making choices on just his shoulders. Also he recently canon updated! Which changed very little about his outward personality, but has changed his perspective a bit.

He's not necessarily a good friend, but he is a loyal one, and after what transpired during his canon update, he's not likely to send anyone he truly cares for into a situation he wouldn't go, himself.

Also he's a shinigami. And a scientist. And basically a ninja. Sighs.
▸ DESIRED CR: Urahara has lost so much CR between the shift to Hathaway and I really want to build some new stuff! He's sort of falling back on obfuscating and pretending to be less anime haxx than he is, because it allows him to get a good feel for what the new people can do. I am open for anything and everything!
▸ OFFERED CR: A fun old man for all your casual fun old man CR. A teacher for you crazy shounens who need a good trickster mentor. A giant science nerd. Someone you can yell at for being a lazy piece of shit. Y'all I just worked twelve hours. I am tired. Please love me.
▸ PLANS: SO URAHARA IS GOING INTO THIS MISSION MISSING AN EYE. I mean he has a glass one, but it's gonna be interesting as he toys with whether or not he wants to consider building a cybernetic eye one day. He's not getting one, for goddamn sure because shinigami BS, but this is new, uncharted territory for him and he's curious about how it might work.

But of course he is also invested in the mission. Honestly, he'll be pretty open to either imprisoning or outright QUIETLY assassinating the corrupt, because... former stealth squad yo. He'll be really good at the stealthy parts of this mission, which is bound to surprise people and create many interesting CR opportunities! Hopefully.

Also his "cover" story (or rather his "day job") for blending in will be a physicist looking to expand his horizons into cybernetic research in the hopes of creating something new. His night job may be quiet assassinations depending on how this goes. We shall see.

His fake name is Haise Sasaki, because he's an ass and he misses you, Haise. Dammit.

I don't quite know yet what I want, but I'd love to thread with Urahara because he seems like a lot of fun! Rohan is similarly flippant, but he has a very strong ego and is a fellow Inventor. If you want someone to yell at him to not be lazy (and more than likely fail hard) Rohan is there for that.

THIS COULD BE REALLY FUN?? He lost like 90% of the science club he was comfortable working with in Audentes, so I really want some hot and fresh inventor CR!!

Awesome! Rohan himself is an artist so he's less on the science side of the Inventor cabal, but he's very good at strategic planning/creative thinking. The good news is that he is a sponge for new information about literally anything so we can see how it goes.
