BODY MAP MEME

The rules are simple: take a template and fire up Photoshop, MS Paint, or your image editing software of choice, then scribble up where your character has notable body modifications! Scars, tattoos, prosthetics, piercings -- anything is fair game. To keep things simple, you can use a simple color code (red for scars, purple for tattoos, green for prosthetics, orange for piercings) or just use whatever colors you want! You can label them as descriptively as you damn well please: let your headcanon flag fly.

omg i filled it out and then realized it was so boring it wasn't worth posting....... ramir pretty much just has the 6 ear piercings (4 hoops and 2 plugs), a small smattering of normal mundane scars, and sort of scarred up feet/calves from that barefoot stint on volcanic rock. :'| please just imagine these things, they are not exciting to gaze upon in template form.

Canonically, Koltira has tattoos across his chest/back/upper forearms; they look like this:



HEADCANON WISE i mean he died via impalement, so to my mind he has a big nasty scar on his stomach from where that happened. Hecked up. He also has minor pale scars in various places on his body; not so many and not so obvious as the one on his tum, but they're there.

It's not represented on the map, but he also has spiderweb cracks in his skin. Looks like broken marble. Super attractive.

Most of McCree's left arm is a prosthetic; it looks like this:

As it is full of science glow (this is blizzard's term, not mine, don't @ me), I presume it is warm to the touch, not cold. It is v strong. You do not want him to punch you with this hand.

Because he was in a biker gang and that's what they do, fandom generally assumes he has a Deadlock tattoo somewhere; I have it on the inside of his right wrist. It's nearly almost always concealed by his glove.

He's had a real rough and tumble life, so he's got scars fairly everywhere, particularly on his back/legs/some across his chest. Bullet wounds, knife wounds, other stuff. Some are worse than others. He has some on his back that are particularly jagged--but the worst scarring is on his left arm, where the skin meets the metal.

Fiona is a criminal so I imagine she has been shot/stabbed a few times. She also has a cartilage piercing in-game; it's her magitek device location.

I mark Laedo's weird purple eye gunk green because it isn't a scar so much as an augmentation. When he and his human buddy Kaitan arrived on the scene of a battle between Goddesses, some of their immortal magic scattered out over the field of war. Laedo caught some of Zenite's magic to the face. He can't use it, as it's the polar opposite to his own, and in fact sometimes it gunks up his own magic. If he's winking at you it's not that he likes you, it's just that he has something in his eye. :C

SURPRISE hellboy's right hand of doom is not actually his, ask me if you want a really complicated & confusing backstory about a freakin hand

otherwise he has various scars from fighting things all his life, mostly concentrated on his upper body and face. due to his increased healing ability, the scars only show up as pitting/gouges in the texture of his skin, which is thick like a hide, so there is no discoloration that one would typically associate with scars.

notable are a bunch of holes on the right side of his chest (arrows) and a big scar over his right shoulder blade (sword), which he received as of his most canon point. there is also a big scar in the middle of his chest/back from where he got impaled and died a few years ago. hellboy's life is fucking strange.

who knows where they came from. maybe he got into a scuffle. maybe he fell off a cliff. maybe he's a dumbass for not wearing more clothes and that's why.

being a sniper, riza doens't typically see a lot of heavy melee combat situations so her scars are on the fewer side, but i imagine she's got some nicks and faded bruises on her hands from improper gun handling in her early years, and at least a scar or two from more recent ALASTAIR scuffles.

probably the most notable thing on her body is the tattoo over most of her back, starting at the base of her neck and going all the way down to right above her tailbone: there are burn scars covering a large portion on the left side.

THIS IS BORING... mostly because I'm not going to draw in all the undoubtedly numerous little scars he has from generally behaving like a reckless jackass. Also I have to headcanon most of this... so the stuff on his side is either a scar or ??? Capcom can't decide what it even looks like, so I'm going with scars, because it's the least ridiculous, and SenBa isn't known for tattoos. He probably got ring-bladed by an angry vegetable who doesn't want to be his friend. Constantly on display because he does not wear a shirt.

His left eye is gone, and that whole part of his face is messed up. This is also basically headcanon, because he's never got the eyepatch off, but it's huge and who would wear that for show? He usually does people the favor of keeping that on because really, no one wants to see it, but he's not actually self-conscious, so if the eyepatch is just going to be a hassle, everyone else will have to deal with it.

Otherwise no piercings or anything he could use more bling.

He had a magic sword sheath stuffed into him, and now his entire body is made of swords! (Not that anybody can see that unless he gets severely wounded.)

Other than that... Shirou is boring. No tattoos or piercings, and no permanent (physical) scars mostly because of a healing factor.

Honestly he probably has plenty more scars in various states of visibility but these are the ones Shizuo's sustained in canon in the last couple of years. A highschooler punk stabbed his thighs and through his left hand with military-grade ballpoint pens once, and the hand scar's probably the most conspicuous one he's got so far since it isn't covered in layers and is probably still visible...he may or may not have tried to patch that one up with super glue. (Fun fact: you can see these pens still sticking out of him in that gif on his journal profile if you squint....)

The big round ones in his side and leg are bullet wounds from the bad life decisions of a couple of Yellow Scarves, though they were both stitched up by his shady surgeon friend. The chest scar is where a Russian assassin tried to kneejerk murder him with a ballistic knife, though it's probably pretty faint by now since it only penetrated like...a few centimeters into him smh. The ones on his back are also assorted knife wounds from a whole set of them falling on him while he was rescuing a kidnapped little girl from the back of a moving truck, they're probably also shallow since they fell right out afterwards...

boring... as for the tattoos WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE they could continue on forever but this is the most you ever see of them, random-ass douchetats he got to ~stand out~. then there's the prosthetic arm... he got his right arm cut off and replaced to be a better 1337 h4x0r and to get ahead in his field of work, i shit you not. the arm can bring up holograms like this and it has a flashlight, it's pretty swank. his left eye is a prosthetic, it lights up all fancy-like when he uses it and it's blue (his regular one's brown) probably because he wanted two different colored eyes like his mancrush, handsome jack. also he has a head port thing on his left temple, idk it's a hole in his head and it's like a usb port, fuck if i know, SCI FI TECHNOLOGY. no scars because he's too delicate to do things that could get him scars, and no piercings because that would mess up his ~classic clean cut look~.

Fortunately (or not) Haise's injuries, accumulated both as himself and Kaneki, are rather well-documented. All those bright white spots on his x-ray? Those are places where he's been wounded in his past, and his RC cells have filled in gaps and repaired the damage. The injury in the second picture shows where Kaneki was originally injured and where his kakuhou (the organ that controls ghoul-exclusive functions) was transplanted.

He uh. He's gotten hurt a lot.

It's two lines and a dot on her face! The rest of her body is mostly bare, a few nicks and scratches from her time with ALASTAIR. She's been in a few scrapes, but nothing healing magic couldn't eventually solve.

Sigma's biggest feature: robot arms. Not that you can really tell, they're covered in artificial skin indistinguishable from human skin, save for the fact that they bleed white. Cue the laundry list of jokes you can make out of this. Also, he should be missing an eye, but since it's not reflected in any of his icons it's kind of fallen by the side of the road, shrug emoji. Is it prosthetic? He'd rather not find out...

How he ended up like this? His guess is as good as yours at the moment. But if you want to know, pls highlight. [They were blown off while attempting to deactivate a bomb, which also lodged a chunk of glass in his right eye, hence the Cool Guy eyelid scar he's got going on. As well as probably a couple other scars on his head and upper chest. He had protective gear, but you don't walk away from something like that without any scrapes.]

The lower scars are from a surprise appendectomy from Olivia! Not really. Dermal vines got into his leg and made a home, and she cut them out. ty olivia. you know magic healing actually probably takes care of scars but I've already drawn this and I'm lazy sorry sig

HOLY SMOTES THIS IS BORING at this canonpoint. And also entirely headcanon. Urahara makes being effortlessly badass look, uh... effortless, so I figure his scars are minimal and whatever wounds he's actually sustained have been healed... and anyway his gigai is fucking pristine, because why make a gigai with scars when said scars are usually covered up.

THAT SAID, he does have two particularly nasty scars on his back that look weirdly like suture scars leftover from his duel with Benihime back when he was obtaining Bankai, because I don't believe for a hot second he doesn't have scars from dueling her. He's probably got some elsewhere that are hidden by his clothes, but those are the only ones I have specific visuals for how and why they exist.

Sansa has scars on her back and the backs of her legs predominantly. They are thanks to her being hit/tormented with a sword. (Joffrey spared her face. What a King.) She might have light scarring near her right eye and/or on her lower lip, but the scarring on her back/legs is definitely worse.

BUT NOTHING MATCHES HER MENTAL SCARS. Thanks, GRRM.

Hoping that there's gonna be a green arm there soon for him :c otherwise there's minor scars from normal rpg combat setting hazards and some extensive scarring where the arm ends.

And ofc the facial tat which someone's yet to ask him about so I'm honestly curious what characters think of it like are they looking at it all "man someone got super drunk one night..."

I was about to be like "I can't do this meme, Keats is a boring guy and doesn't have piercings/prosthetics/etc." but then I remembered THE ABSOLUTE GLORY of his Transcended form, so HERE WE GO



Basically, in his canon, Keats can go through a magical boy transformation called Transcension, in which he turns into a white-haired grey hulk that is suggested to be his actual true form. He has a collection of dark purple tattoos covering half his face and his left shoulder, but other than that, he's got nothing. What do the tattoos mean? Who knows! They add to his ~magical ambiance~, probably.
