man, the drrr!! is still strong in me after recently finishing the anime, so I'm glad to see shizuo around!! he's incredibly endearing. and one I think hanbei will want to make an effort to get along with! especially with him being from modern japan– the ancient samurai over here might have some questions. I believe they came in around the same time, too.

I'm not sure how well received hanbei will be considering he's not a Great guy but I'd love to see how it goes!

high-five for recently finishing the anime though!! i actually finally wrapped up the second season myself just a couple of months ago, which had a hand in making me pick up this nerd in the first place lmao. he's super endearing indeed...when he isn't lobbing street signs around...and even while he's doing it sometimes, what a guy....

but yeah he and hanbei might get along alright, depending on how things go!! esp if he's trying to be at least moderately civil at least...running into a legitimate ancient samurai would be pretty neat to shizuo as well, so he'd be interested in exchanging news between these modern and ancient eras of japan haha. and if nothing else there's always bonding over being equally new to ALASTAIR on the whole!

i'm thinking about reading some of the manga, too and see how it handles things! last i checked there were some notable narrative differences i thought were interesting. but yes, omg. been a fan of narita's stuff since baccano so this kick is a quiet but eternal one. i have accounts for chikage and shinra and have been thinking about erika, too!

ANYWAY THO, yes! excited to see what comes out of this. i'll be on the lookout for open posts! until then, i can probably offer hanbei up for giving shizuo some parenting advice and/or needed encouragement?

man that reminds me i need to look into the manga too aah, i've heard some neat things about it as well! shizuo's mainly taken from the anime here for now though since lmao getting ahold of any comprehensive light novel translations... :'^) i need to renew my search sometime...BUT WHAT GOOD CHARACTERS TO CONSIDER THOUGH you have excellent taste friend!! if you ever need a hand with voicetesting feel totally free to hit me up for that btw, shizuo could always use more of all of these guys in his life lbr

in the meantime i'm excited for this too though yes! WE'LL SEE HOW IT GOES i do hope to have some kind of open thing up once this mission sets off, fingerguns at u c: shizuo will take any and all parenting advice hanbei has to offer in the interim tbh, pls help him he has no idea what he's doing
