Flora can be a little high strung and straight-laced at times, but a hilarious breaker of rules and conventions at others. She adores nature and people and enjoys making friends. Also a fairy. The kind with wings, not the kind that steals children.
DESIRED CR: "Anything" is such a cop-out answer, but I do mean it. Otherwise, maybe people who can just be like "shhh, flora, no." because she's just endlessly optimistic. it can get her in trouble sometimes. bonus for broody types, or people who need looking after, magic types are nice, skeptics too. LOOKIN AT U, KEATS.

TAGGING HABITS: January has been a really hard month for me; I've been prepping for school, looking for a new job, and some other stuff going on. So that's really slowed me down considerably.

CANON: American McGee's Alice
PERSONALITY: An older, much darker and cynical Alice of Wonderland. But if you're her friend, she's very loyal to you. She doesn't have the best self-esteem, sometimes, and can be pretty scary if you anger her well enough. Other than that, she's cordial and very kind. Loves animals and is pretty protective of children.

DESIRED CR: I'm open to pretty much anything, seriously. But I would love for her to have more friends, and, uh, eventually work out her guilt over the orphans she left behind. Alice would also like to improve on any battle skills so, uh, sure, sword training too? But also magic, if anyone knows magic and wants to teach her that, that would be awesome.

OFFERED CR: If your character is under the age of 15, Alice is going to potentially mother hen you, if that's your thing. And if she's your friend, like I said, she's loyal and will stick up for you (see Gintoki). Don't worry about not being too formal or anything else like that, Alice tends to really befriend oddballs, nonhumans, and people with similar issues. Chances are, the weirder you are, Alice could be your friend. Except Ban, who can honestly fall off a cliff, but he would like that.

PLANS: Alice came in thinking she wasn't going to make much of a difference, because, again, her self-esteem is terrible. However, with the chance to meet the king, she wants to express to the king that the children of the Chantes are suffering and he needs to think abut the future of his people and understand the plight of them. That's been her MO in this mission, trying to look out for the native children. I would like her to eventually become more skilled and confident in what she does and start willing to be a team player.

PERSONALITY: Mostly nice, kinda bratty, can be a prime A example of a Tryhard Teenager when it goes down to it. He's super intent on not letting too many people see he's nice so expect some tsundere when it comes to accepting help if he accepts it at all. He's very interested in learning about new worlds and new people from new worlds so if you're a big talker, don't mind him as he takes notes.
DESIRED CR:

● People interested in other worlds! Or interested in talking about their own, honestly. He'll be making a post on the network likely in February about other worlds.
● People who like to teach, because Riku is being on learning things and can be super hardheaded when it comes to certain subjects. And Destiny Island's public education leaves a lot to be desired.
● Fighters! Riku's incredibly durable and will probably get back up no matter what you throw at him within reason. He'd like to spar with people, but a quick fight or something because of an argument could also happen.
● Nosy people, yep. Riku keeps things close to the vest and lies by omission, but he doesn't know how to handle people who're just interested in what he does or people who need to know what's going on. Give me your control freaks, Riku will probably make them stomp and shout.

OFFERED CR:

Do you want some idol worship? Do something cool around him like saving puppies or putting out a fire. Want someone to carry your groceries? Just ask, he'll do it! Need a lackey for global domination? Well, fuck that, you could not pay him enough to be evil again, time for negative CR. All in all, Riku tends to be critical of others as well as himself, absolutely hates being barred from things because he's younger, but will stop to help out people in need. If you're doing something cool, he'll show interest. He's pretty flexible for most CR.

PLANS: EDIT: Well now that we've got the calendar up... okay. When the mission ends and they're supposed to be whisked away, Riku'll be taking the few days they have to get some stuff from Chantes, probably an assortment of goods containing information, any books, etc that he can. However the razing occurs, he'll definitely be in on defending the other recruits and Oska as best as he can. Thinking about it, Riku will most likely disappear for a canon update after the mission review, but it's not in stone--I'll see how this goes. Either way, canon updated or not, he's going to give like zero information during icebreakers, so if anyone would like to punch him in advance for that...

Important note: if any homesick characters would like some friction with someone ecstatic to be away from home, Riku is your guy.

NAME: Rin Tohsaka

PERSONALITY: Rin is a textbook tsundere—this means lots of emotions felt very strongly, and she can turn hot and cold on you in the blink of an eye. She'll be giving your character a homemade cake one moment and telling them to shove it the next, or vice versa. Despite the fact she's 17, Rin is mature and self-sufficient! (I promise.) She knows how to take care of herself and she's good for advice or strategizing. She's also a mini-genius concerning all sorts of magic-related topics. Rin tends to care for people more than she shows—her close allies, fellow recruits, anyone. If you've spoken to her, chances are she would worry about your well-being and fight for you. Rin's a sweetheart underneath how terrifying she can be, really.
DESIRED CR: I am really playing catch-up atm, so this is more things that will happen into February/once my inbox is cleared out a little!

• family in a "home away from home". I'd really like Rin to form bonds with "replacement" family members of sorts; her father and mother died and her little sister was adopted by another family at a young age, so ironically Rin has no loving family and she hasn't had one for years. She's been forced to act like an adult since she was 6 years old. Having Rin discuss her parents' deaths, her little sister, and other topics about her family (her magic training, her future) is also something I'm looking for.
• recuperation. Thanks to her run-in with Koltira, Rin will be in bad shape for a while. If anyone wants to check in on her while she's recovering, let's do it!
• ship... ping... I know, I know, but I'm always game for cute dates and friendships and everything else! It definitely doesn't have to be anything serious, it's just so much fun to write her bumbling around with other recruits her age.

OFFERED CR: Rin can offer Master lessons to those recruits who ultimately partner with a Fate/ Servant, and also act as a big sister to younger characters (or I guess a short tsundere to have hanging around you, if you just want that). There has been talk of an ALASTAIR girls' night that Rin may be able to get going once they head back to Oska!
PLANS: Rin's working for peace in Chantes right now. She'll otherwise be taking care of her rapidly growing baby swan and recovering from the fight with Koltira. I think anything else will depend on the February calendar.

NAME: Koltira Deathweaver
CANON: World of Warcraft
PERSONALITY: A miserable pile of secrets (and violence). Koltira has a dry humor, but more often he's just coldly direct. He's impatient, he's bitter, and he suffers from a whole subscription stand of issues. Foremost among them is his propensity for violence.

Although there's a kind, honorable soul inside him (or rather, inside his runeblade), Koltira's psychologically and physically crippled by the curse of his undeath. He battles his terrible impulses to the best of his ability, but when he loses, he loses in a big way. He wants to protect people, to form connections, to do what's right and what's necessary. Unfortunately, his mind and body are both arrayed against him on this front.

He does not like himself much.
DESIRED CR: god idek right now! He's currently right in the middle of attacking anyone who approaches him, which is obviously a little problematic. He's a case study in How to Lose Friends & Alienate People. But if anyone's willing to push past that, I welcome it. SWORN ENEMIES are also fine (and honestly what he expects).

Aside from his glaring curse problems, he's a big magic elf guy. Sensing / consuming magic is one of his things that he can do, and he's always interested in learning about how such things work in other worlds. It's a blood elf thing.

He could also use someone to help him meditate. Or a zen coloring book. Something. Or some masochists.
OFFERED CR: When he's not losing the plot and brandishing his sword at everything that moves, Koltira is a strong, loyal friend. He's just also a loyal friend who will probably one day try to choke you? I don't know; it's a mess. But when he's in his right mind, he's one of the best tanks you could ask for, and he's not hesitant to jump into any sort of fray.

Furthermore, if he has hurt someone, he will be especially inclined to come to their aid in dangerous situations. Having coffee afterwards will be a harder sell, but rest assured he considers himself deeply in debt to anyone that might cross the path of his frenzy--and even anyone who might be affected by its repercussions.

Outside of combat, he's just a good straight man--at least, relatively speaking, since he's a tall, darkly glowing death knight. He has a no-nonsense, no-time-for-games attitude. He could probably use more games.
PLANS: sprawling out on the forest floor & hating the shit out of himself, mostly

Koltira's not involved in the peace talks because he'll be stuck in his blood hysteria hell pit for the duration. But if there's action to be had afterwards, he'll be there. He'll be avoiding eye contact with everyone, but he will be there.

Koltira's on a bit of a precipice, path-wise. His ~endless hunger is an unavoidable part of him, part of the basic truth of his cursed body. Its aftermath often determines whether he goes towards a state of alienation or a state of integration. So ... WE'LL SEE.

INTERESTS: The stuff I babble about on plurk is usually fandom-related! I only recently got into the Fate/ franchise, so art dumps are becoming a bit of a thing. I also like to chat about Final Fantasy VII, my job (I work with adorable small children), life woes, etc.

CANON: Fate/
PERSONALITY: Archer is a dick. That really sums it up fairly well, but in all seriousness, he is not an especially nice, squishy kind of guy. He can be ruthless and callous and say (and do) some fairly unkind things, even if some of that is him showing off his morbid sense of humor. He's a special type of Heroic Spirit called a Counter Guardian, which (in Fate canon) are responsible for basically mopping up humanity's messes in various ages. He's fairly jaded/bitter about it since he put himself in that position in the first place, BUT BASICALLY, for CR purposes, this puts him in a unique position since cleaning up timelines is basically what he's been doing for...millenia. He does have a bit of a softer side (he likes household chores and cooking, though he'll never admit to it) so it's not all bad, all the time. He's softened up a little in the last several weeks, but he's still fairly stand-offish when it comes to relationships with people.

DESIRED CR:
+ He doesn't open up much to people, but developing some positive CR would be good! As I said above, he isn't really a nice, squishy person, but people who can sort of get him to loosen up a little and act more...human, so to speak, would be great!
+ Because the housewaifu jokes with never get old, COOKING AND CHORES. If you want it, come and get it.
+ Fellow assholes, people who don't care so much about the body count as long as the job gets done, grumpy old men, military types, etc.

+ He's currently working on a peace solution with Rin, mostly on the half-human/half-goblin end of things, but I might toss him into something else as well!

Basically he is very warm but a little secretive, and will cut conversations short if certain subjects are broached. He also has an alcohol problem due to recent trauma.

Kids! Teens! Hellboy does well with younger folks and will mentor them if they are interested in paranormal investigation.

Other supernatural creatures/beings! Hellboy is naturally suspicious of anyone who is not strictly human, but can warm up pretty quickly on an individual basis. Exception: demons. He will never trust a demon. So sorry.

He is also a genius, which is part of the reason he is so messed up but I won't go into that here. He won't go into it either because yawn ain't nobody got time.

Aliens! Cyborgs! Anyone who has been to space, come to me. He can't stand people who are planetary.

PERSONALITY: Amused by most everything, loud, annoying, disrespectful, irreverent, TUFF!!!!, intensely loyal/protective once she starts liking something about someone. she also has super strength and invulnerability (on about a superman level) that she is still figuring out how to use, but delights in showing off. it's been a good few months since she got it.

DESIRED CR: ok so who can she boss around, terrorize, and flirt with, possibly all at once?? She is eternally on the lookout for all of these things, as they are the bread and butter of her day. But more discretely she's also looking for people to replace all the friend-family types she had at home, which means basically anyone she sees good (and useful) traits in that she can pull into her orbit and make good friends out of. Their willingness to be her friend in return is not necessarily required, but a nice bonus. It's also nice if they have questionable morals, because she's from a very crimey background, but she's higher up on the good guy spectrum than she thinks she is, so that's not required either.

OFFERED CR: Ramir makes an excellent bodyguard (super strength and invulnerability!) if she gives a shit about someone, but then when there's no immediate danger she's also pretty destructive and awful all on her own, so... it's a trade off. :( She will also flirt with anything, AND starts to care about people, like, super fast, if there's any lil spark of camaraderie.

PLANS: She still isn't too invested and thinks all of this is great fun/doesn't matter that much, so I am gently prodding around looking for reasons for her to care, but otherwise open to shenanigan-type plots of all kinds!

PERSONALITY: Bubbly, optimistic and determined eleven year old magical girl. She's often determined to help and do her part, to assist people in need somehow. Can push herself too far in doing this sometimes. Selfless heroic etc and all. Always tries to believe in the good in people, that they have their reasons for their actions. Loyal to those she cares about even if she sometimes bickers with them.

Also has a Thing for characters attuned to the Moon, so yes. If this is your character, she might go all Floaty and get a Moon Crush on them. Because....magical based crushes, idk. It's CLAMP, guys. (Really I just want to play this out because haha, Sakura is precious with her crushes okay.)
DESIRED CR:
- Teachers? This can be for anything, honestly. General life skills she might not yet have the hang of, other languages, various worlds, history, self defense, magic. All that good stuff. At present she obviously has some magic with her Clow Cards, her healing gained here in Chantes. And has sword lessons with Pearl and Julius.
- Magic talks/demonstrations. Because she never really got to chat to others about her magic back home, aside from certain specific people that were aware.
- Potential Magic Source. If anyone is a Servant from Fate or similar, she is a Magical Girl and all. So if necessary she can assist in that regard. Esp since I am debating on a canon update for her, once I decide on a particular point to take her from, exactly. Which will make her that bit more powerful, with her Sakura Cards and general magical ability.
OFFERED CR:
- Younger Sister Type. Though if you fall in this category and treat her remotely like Toya, her canon older brother does, don't be surprised if she gets a bit angry at times. This won't mean she won't help you when necessary, but still.
- General Household Assistance? Sakura can cook and regularly does so for her family back home, and some in-game as well. She also cleans.
- Deliveries. Because of course she makes good use of the Fly card. If your character needs something delivered quickly, she can help with this.
- Again, potential magic source, as above.
PLANS: Nothing off the top of my head? Barring a potential update at. Some point, possibly next month? Beyond participating in event things, of course. Assuming my timing with her canon update works out if I go through with that next month.

PERSONALITY: Kind of stuffy and boring on the outside, sweeter (and also sassier) on the inside once you get her to relax. Turns everything Way Too Serious if given free rein but thankfully she doesn't actually talk that much. Likes most kids, dogs, and long hours at the firing range. Very business-oriented about most things in life but she's not afraid to joke around once she gets comfortable around someone.
DESIRED CR: Whoa, I actually have specifics this time—

• People to teach her weapons other than guns - I'd like to make her less dependent on long-range defense ultimately, so if your character wields a spear/sword/whatever, please let me hit you up. Also someone to practice hand-to-hand with, she's not great at it now.
• Magic users - Riza got some fire magic in December, courtesy of ALASTAIR. She's been trying to figure out how to use it on her own with minor success but it'd be super cool if she could chat it up with other magic users to see how they do their thing (and maybe mooch lessons off of or something).

● Rivals. Always rivals. He has Shadow here, but will inevitably end up looking for a replacement Sonic to antagonize. Where are the smart-aleck teenagers around here?
● However, I would really like to maintain at least some circle of positive CR! While Eggman is a boisterous jerk, I do see him as capable of maintaining positive relationships. Those with intellectual pursuits/personalities are loved, as well as those with similar maniacal ambitions.

PERSONALITY: If you wanted to ever meet a dashing, heroic man who charms the socks off of everyone and is always ready to help, then....uh, well, Keats is not your guy. He's a grumpy, sarcastic Irish reporter for a third-rate occult magazine who will share insulting quips or gripe about whatever situation he finds himself in. To add onto that, he's a raging skeptic, and will always lean on logic and reason before even beginning to acknowledge that things like gods and magic exists, even if he's presented physical evidence of it.
However, the great irony in his skepticism is that Keats has magical powers himself, and denies the existence of magic because he wants to avoid the truth that he, in reality, isn't even human. He's a creature called a Halflife, a sort of weird mix between an imaginary friend and a ghost, in that he's a being created by a human being to live in a magical variant of the afterlife. He hates acknowledging this fact, though, and so will continue to act like the snippy and nosy reporter he desperately wants to be.

DESIRED CR: FELLOW MAGIC PEOPLE TO CALL HIM OUT ON HIS GIANT HYPOCRITICAL NATURE like seriously, one of the major things I want to happen for Keats in game is him finally accepting who he is, but this will take a long time - he's had 17 years to build up a wall of denial about himself. I'd also love sparring partners, because Keats does have a sort of aggressive streak he likes to indulge in. Also, people he can protect - Keats was created to protect others and I'd love to indulge in that side of him, and while I'm at it, MORE KIDS PLEASE Keats is really kinder to kids than he is to adults. Other than that, just anything in general, I'm so open for everything!
OFFERED CR: If you want a sarcastic jerk to ruffle the feathers of your character, I have just the guy - Keats could care less about upsetting people, and he's not afraid to call people out. Otherwise, he's an anti-hero of sorts who is a big expert in mythology and folklore and can offer protection and help while complaining about it. TL;DR: he's a skeptical magical grump with a heart of gold.
PLANS: He really is itching to get writing again, since he believes that all of what's happening is nice material for the magazine he works for, so probably he'll start to interview people and start typing up articles and such in the future. Other than that, no real plans, but I'm up for plotting with him for anything!

DESIRED CR: Friends, please! Or more to levi's standard, confidantes and otherwise trusted recruits and business-like acquaintanceships with those he deems competent. Occasionally, he can also act as a mentor to younger characters. And as a bonus, I love negative CR: bad influences, clashing morals, those who really bring out his violent side, I'm alllll for it. He also has his horse with him, and I love indulgent use of that in threads, be that with other pet CR or otherwise.
OFFERED CR: Things Levi CR can offer you: a real down to earth and sometimes pessimistic military perspective, for those who can compare. Someone to judge your characters based on morality and cleanliness (...and depending, clean up after them...or outright mom them if they're young). Someone to fight by your character's side. Someone to knock some sense into your character in their lowest moments. Someone for your cheerful character to try to sneak begrudging friendship out of. And so on.
PLANS: As of now, he's going to continue cooperating and to what he considers the best of his abilities. Pearl suffers from self confidence, but she's currently working on being much more assertive. She is unfamiliar with a few human traditions, and can sometimes look like a fish out of water when it comes to social interactions. She loves to sing, dance, and build any sort of robotics or engineering projects! She's quite the bookworm!

-Worrywart, she worries about a lot of people, specifically humans. Rose Quartz cherished earthlings when she was still around, and Pearl holds that to heart, for everyone in ALASTAIR.

-Knights and honor, Pearl had based her initial fighting techniques off of earthling knights. She had read about them and their chivalry, and takes that to heart. In a way, she was sworn to Rose Quartz, and honors her.

-Bookworm, Pearl loves to learn new things! If you've got something new or different, expect some questions thrown your way!

-Singing and Dancing, this alien's culture is all about dancing. They dance in order to do something called "fusion". Yes, it is very similar to fusion from DBZ, only with dancing, and they become giant women. Also, Pearl LOVES to sing, when she feels real passionate about something.

PLANS: Pearl is working her way out of her shell, trying some new things! In the past, she had lived secluded from humans for the most part, but she's gradually making her way to some mingling! She's also working through being a Master for Gilgamesh. Taking on a 'leadership' role is new to her, so she's going through some growing pains with it.

Somewhat ignorant about magic and traditional customs he's been trying to learn!

TAGGING HABITS: I'm usually pretty quick about hitting stuff up, so you can expect same day tagbacks most of the time (unless I'm particularly busy or otherwise incapacitated). I favor present tense [action brackets] for my tags, and I assume a very "go with the flow" style philosophy for plotting. Most of my best CR has come about without much planning, so I value flexibility in my play.
INTERESTS: Not much to speak of, really. I like writing, I like tech, I like... dragons. That's about it.

NAME: Gilgamesh

CANON: Fate/, from just before the end of Fate/Zero

PERSONALITY: Let's get this out of the way: Gilgamesh is an asshole. A really big, really obnoxious, really insufferable asshole. You'll always know he's around because he'll be yelling at the top of his lungs and making a general nuisance of himself. Beyond being loud, he abides a very strict system of justice and will not tolerate anyone going against his authority. He's not entirely a bad guy and shows glimmers of honor here and there, but overall he's a tyrant, the King of Heroes, and he won't let you forget it.

DESIRED CR: Gilgamesh took a self-appointed staycation in January to cool off a bit and has since settled way the fuck down. He's still very much his boisterous self but is now more open to positive CR, though it'll remain slow-going. I find he does well with CR that involves a sort of sassy back-and-forth element to keep him grounded; it is possible to tell him off without risking decapitation and earn his respect but it's a a delicate balance to manage. Of course you're welcome to antagonize him anyway because it's hilarious. The months moving forward will see a more focused Gilgamesh as he sticks close to Pearl and hones in on finishing the mission, so teaming up is welcomed and encouraged as he can be dragged reliably into it now.

...and it's a real long shot, but I wouldn't him acquiring something like a confidant here. He digs his Master but could probably use a few outside perspectives. Additionally, sparring companions! Someone he could take under his wing and instruct! He's kind of a questionable teacher but if you catch his interest he just might be willing to offer some (terrible) words of wisdom.

OFFERED CR: Negative CR is easy enough to provide, as Gilgamesh can be volatile. However he's been known to take an interest in folks that ping him so if you manage to do so you just might wind up with him hovering around you instead. He's super reactive, so what he "offers" really depends on the character! He can be a sass machine, a drinking buddy, a shockingly astute philosopher... but mostly he's just annoying. I'm sorry.

Gilgamesh is a pretty mean (read: incredible) storyteller so he can be a good fit for curious types and will gladly recite his Epic to you all day everyday if prodded. He's fond of children and generally tones a lot of his more suspect behavior down around them. ...except for Steven, apparently. Sorry about that raccoon.

If your character is interested in magic, be it the Fate/ brand of it or something else, Gilgamesh has plenty to say on the topic. He will gladly go into Master and Servant mechanics if the subject comes up. And while they're bound to be disappointed any characters attracted to charismatic figures or knights in shining armor are sure to find Gilgamesh interesting; that A+ Charisma ain't no joke, man.

Also if you're really really interested in a darker road for your character Gilgamesh excels at corrupting others in a variety of ways. It's just what he does by nature. If your character needs a reality check he can certainly give a harsh one. He says what he means, means what he says, and has no issue delivering verbal smackdowns when required.

PLANS: At the moment he's slated to storm the castle... again... with Rin and co. to meet with the king, then stop a rampaging Koltira from, uh, rampaging. Beyond that it's hard to say but I am aiming to get him more invested in ALASTAIR. Gilgamesh (surprisingly) has a lot to say if you can wrangle him into good behavior so I'd love to see him reach a point where he opens up a bit more to others in this regard. Other than that I'm flexible.

ANYTHING ELSE? I've recalibrated Gilgamesh significantly since last CR meme, so I'd love to hear your feedback! My HMD remains open to critique.

He has feelings, but he has spent a decade perfecting the role of strong and silent guard/attendant, so he isn't one to actually speak on most of that. Because of this he likely comes off cold and distant to people who aren't his charge, who basically makes up his entire world.

DESIRED CR: People who aren't Dio? If not stopped he'll spend all his time shadowing his master/single most precious friend so. Pushy friendly types please bring them to me! PERSONALITY:

A lot of characters in Futurology seem to understand the simple gist of Gintoki's personality. Apathetic, lazy, difficult to read and he's pretty rude and gross. Though, he's a pretty profound thinker and his intentions are ultimately good, Gintoki is a shounen protagonist who isn't scared about outright killing his enemies if he has to. Even if he doesn't appear generally interested about his surroundings, he usually is and he usually cares deeply about people and his willing (maybe not so eagerly) to help them. Tough around the edges, but soft on the inside! It's just a pity he keeps himself too guarded to really open up to people.
He has a weakness for sweets and Shounen JUMP which is very important and sometimes wishes that maybe he was a character in Bleach instead.
