Jin still doesn't have a very deep opinion of Gwen herself, except that she's one of the poor normie teammates he's vaguely concerned about-- she seems Okay, though, even though he hasn't really seen her about too often yet.

Spider-Gwen, on the other hand, is a different story!! He has kind of hilariously resigned himself to being her sidekick, because she's... basically like a chiller Cassie Cage who has preemptively whacked him on the nose with a rolled up newspaper to not be a douchebag, so like. He's cool. Gwen's goofy and weird and fun to talk to and have around, but she also most definitely Knows Her Shit, so he respects her as a teammate and doesn't mind being her backup. Uh, doesn't mind that much, anyway. It's also nice to have somebody close to his age and wavelength around; Audentes isn't especially lacking in twenty-somethings, but being ~~immature~~ on the younger end of that spectrum himself at 23 it's nice to have someone #relatable, you know.

Jin's definitely curious about who she is and what she's really like, though? He figures there's a reason for being so insistent about splitting her superhero identity from her civilian one, buuuut he hasn't yet gotten to ask 'cause it hasn't come up too overtly just yet. In the meantime, it's nbd, he'll keep working with her as he always has. They're not friends, btw. (They're totally friends he got her a Christmas present.)

I feel like I have to keep referring back to our old threads to make sure that yeah this is a natural progression and that I'm not letting my ooc shipping bleed into it? but yeah, holy shit, he cares about you, asshole!!!! Jin met Asher totally prepared to disregard him and show off to put him in his place, because fuck str8 white fuccbois right? but no, Asher has continued to show that there's so much more to him than meets the eye. Sure, the start itself was rocky, but as a result Asher's given Jin exactly the kind of friendship that he needs to grow: somebody who'll love and support him without letting him get away with being an asshole. Asher calls his shit out, Asher is dumb and weird and infuriating sometimes, and yet Asher is also willing to put himself on the line for Jin's sake... which means that Jin's willing to do just the same and more.

He's beginning to see past Asher's facade which worries me lmfao because Jin's such a Fixer, and we've already established that he's trying to squash his regrettable crush on Asher... but, again, he fucking!!! cares about him!!! and to see somebody he's gotten closer to struggle like that, when his own memories of having deeply hated himself aren't so far away, really bugs him? he wants to help Asher however he can, because it's the absolute least he'd do for a friend. All he wants is for Asher to be happy, instead of pretending to be happy, and he's gonna stick around until he knows how to help make that happen.
